FPV Motor Sizes Explained
An FPV motor size like 2207 encodes the stator dimensions: the first two digits are the stator diameter in millimeters (22 mm), the last two are the stator height (7 mm).

Diameter vs height
- Wider stator (e.g. 2306): more torque, snappier response, better for heavy props and hard direction changes.
- Taller stator (e.g. 2207): higher top-end RPM, smoother power band.
In practice the 2207-vs-2306 difference is small; pick by weight, price and the KV that matches your battery.
